INVITATION FOR TENDERS
1. The Dare
s salaam Water and Sewerage Corporation (DAWASCO) has
set aside funds for financial year 2013/2014 towards the cost of
supplying water chemicals, and
it intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds to cover eligible
payments under the contract for Procurement
of Various Water Treatment Chemicals.
2. The Dare s salaam Water and Sewerage Corporation now invites sealed
tenders from eligible Suppliers
for supplying water treatment chemicals
as follows:

Tenderer may tender for a
single lot or a combination of any lots, but in any case Tenderer must quote
for full quantities in each lot. The purchaser shall evaluate the Tender for each lot and award the
contract on a lot- by – lot basis or a combination of lots whichever is more
economical. Tenders not quoting full quantities in a lot will be considered as
non-responsive.
- Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non-Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2005 – Government Notice No. 97 and are open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations.
- Eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, DAWASCO Tender Board, DAWASCO House 2453/188 Sokoine Drive P.O. Box 5340 Dar es Salaam from 8:00 toAM 04:00pm on Monday to Friday inclusive, except on public holidays.

A complete set of Tendering Documents may be purchased
by any interested Tenderer upon submission of a written application to the
address given under paragraph 4 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee
of Tsh.50,000.00 (Tanzanian Shillings fifty thousand Only) or equivalent
in freely convertible currency. Payments shall be made either be by Banker’s
Cheque, Banker’s Draft or Cash to be paid to the cashier’s office near
reception office at DAWASCO Headquarters’ office.

All
Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security in an
acceptable form in the amount of 1% of
the tender value or freely convertible currencies in case of foreign Tenderers
- All tenders in one original plus two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address below clearly marked Tender number AE/032/2013-2014/HQ/G/01 at or before WEDNESDAY 12 JUNE.2013 at 14:00pm HRS local time. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the DAWASCO Boardroom, DAWASCO House, Plot No.2453/188 Sokoine Drive.
8. Late
Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders
not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not
be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
