CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR TRAINING WORKSHOP ON MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
The department of Geography of the University of Dares Salaam is announcing a five days workshop training on MONITORING AND EVALUATION FOR DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONALS to be conducted at the University of Dar es Salaam Main Campus from 27th to 31st May, 2013.


Training outcomes
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to grasp and comprehend the following important aspects of monitoring and evaluation which are required for effective management and sustainability of development projects.
 Monitoring and Evaluation in the Project Management Cycle
 Types and approaches to Monitoring and Evaluation
 Logical Framework Approach
 Monitoring and Evaluation Plan
 Developing Monitoring and Evaluation Indicators
 Project auditing, tracking and quality control
 M & E for project and development sustainability
 Result based Monitoring and Evaluation
 Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation
 Qualitative and Quantitative methods for Monitoring and Evaluation
 Information Management and Dissemination

2.Beneficiaries
The training is relevant to various development professionals in the public and private sectors particularly those working with,
 Community and rural development projects
 Healthy projects
 Agricultural projects
 Environmental Conservation projects
 Water and Sanitation projects
 Religious based projects, etc

Mode of delivery
The training will apply an interactive methodology which combines the following learning techniques;
- Lecture
- Demonstration
- Group discussions and presentations
- Case studies

Training Fee
Each participant will be required to pay Tsh. 500,000/= to cover costs for training, stationeries, breakfast, lunch and CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE.
