"Dear President Kikwete,
When you were elected President, Tanzanians expected you to provide good and strong leadership. Unfortunately, so far at least, we have not had the privilege of experiencing responsible and ethical leadership in action.
Mr. President, in the wake of what is unarguably the worst Form Four National Examination Results, I share the urgency that Tanzanians cannot accept an incompetent and information illiterate Philipo Augustino Mulugo as a Deputy Minister of an office expected to adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity.
Sir, holding onto a man who has turned out to be a public embarrassment and a national disgrace, confirms that your administration just wants to soothe public opinion and continue with business as usual.
Will you surprise us this time around? Mr. President, somewhere I read, “Hope is what makes us look foward to each and every day; without hope there is no tomorrow.” It is with this hope that I believe you are going to show leadership and sack Mulugo. Sack him! Mr. President, please do the right thing and sack Philipo Augustino Mulugo! It is not hard to see why unless you too think that, “…Tanzania was formed in one nineteen sixty four (11964) by unifying the Indian Ocean Islands of Zimbabwe and Pemba and the mainland country formerly known as Tanganyika.”
Sincerely,
[signature]"
