Project Description:

The goal of the program (target module) is: The conditions for the sustainable use of Renewable Energy (RE) are improved in Tanzania. The program supports the expansion of grid-connected renewable energies through advisory on the general framework and capacity building. The procedures for approval of small RE systems (10 MW), which are supported through the Rural Energy Agency REA, should be organized more efficiently. In addition, strategies and support measures for Energy Efficiency are supported. Political support is the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM).

Job Description:

Subject to this tender is the "promotion of energy efficiency (EE)". Key tasks include: Promotion of energy efficiency Technical design and economic analysis of pilot projects  Design of measures for the promotion of EE Technical audits/energy audits Organization of workshops and awareness raising campaigns

Qualifications:

Master degree or equivalent diploma in engineering, economics or other relevant sector Specific technical and economic knowledge in the field of energy supply and utilization as well as energy efficiency Expertise in the above mentioned topics At least 5 years working experience in the promotion of energy efficiency Extensive knowledge of the Tanzania energy sector and its institutions Working knowledge of English and Swahili Excellent communication skills Proven project management skills Full command of Microsoft Office software
