UHABA WA MAJI MOROGORO
Bomba kubwa lenye kipenyo cha 16" sawa na 400mm limepasuka eneo la Msamvu stendi ya Dodoma karibu na kituo cha kusambaza umeme.Ingawa juhudi za kurejesha huduma ya maji kwa wakazi wa manispaa ya Morogoro zikiwa zinaendelea lakini changamoto nikwamba bomba hilo limekatiza barabara kuu ya kuelekea Dodoma ambayo ni ya lami,hivyo namna ya kuchimba inakuwa vigumu.
Akiongea kutokea eneo la tukio,kaimu Mhandisi wa usambazaji na matengenezo Bw.William Mbilizi alisema kuwa matengenezo hayo yanaweza kukamilika ndani ya siku 2.

SHORT COURSE ON FIRST AID.
INDUSTRIAL FIRST AID COURSE
OSHA has organized the above mentioned course for all nominate first aiders at workplaces or
any one in need of comprehensive introduction to first aid.
Objective of the course: To equip participants with adequate knowledge and practical skills in
dealing with health emergencies at workplaces.
Participants will be able to minimize the outcome of workplace accidents or exposures, along
with enhancing their workplace compliance to First Aid legal requirement.
Course contents:
The First Aid provision as described in OHS act 2003.
Contents/ uses of first aid kit.
Medical emergencies(stroke, asthmatic and diabetic shock, epilepsy)
Accidents and incidents.
Treatment of an unconscious causality (CPR).
Foreign bodies and eye injuries.
Poisoning and allergic reactions.
Burns and scalds.
Fractures and dislocation.
FIRST AID PRACTICAL.
The course will be conducted for three days from 18th – 20th December, 2012 at OSHA
headquarters office Training lounge.
Course fee is Tsh.200, 000/= per participants, this is only for tuition and refreshment during
course. NOTE: Breakfast and lunch will not be provided.
Training methodology: Instruction lectures, plenary session and practical demonstrations.

MUHAS CONFERENCE
The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS)
announces its first scientific conference that will be organized with support
from Sida and other development partners. We welcome all researchers, local and international,
working in various areas of health to share their research findings with
other stake holders in this conference.
The Conference will be held at Kunduchi Beach Hotel, Dar es Salaam on 2nd – 4th May, 2013.

Dodoma Urban Water Supply and Sanitation
Authority (DUWASA) was established under section 3(I) of Cap. 272 of 1997 as repealed
by section 60 of Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 12 of 2009. DUWASA is
charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of water
supply and sanitation services in Dodoma
urban within the Municipality.
Applications are invited from
suitably qualified, dynamic, experienced and performance driven Tanzanians male

1.0 IT
TECHNICIAN
1.1
Required
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities)
Form
IV/VI with Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT)
from a recognized institution with three (3) years working experience in a
similar position from a reputable organization. Possession of Microsoft
Certified Profession (MCP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
certificates will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities
i)
Resolve network communications problems to ensure
user’s access to the Authority networks.
ii)
Making analysis on the data and trend of monthly customer
water consumption in all zones to detect any abnormal trend and advising on the
improvements to be taken.
iii)
Analyzing the daily meter reading data to determine the
correctness of meter readings from all water supply zones.
iv)
Keeping accurately the data related to monthly meter
reading records.
v)
Liaising with Billing and Data Officer in ensuring
monthly water consumption data are timely compiled and that bills are produced
and dispatched timely.
vi)
Ensuring that data verifications regarding customer
meter reading is done on the daily basis during the meter reading days.
vii)
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the
Operations Engineer.
2.0 OPERATIONS ENGINEER – II
2.1 Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
Holder of a Degree/
Higher Diploma in Civil/Sanitary Engineering with at least one (1) year working
experience as an Engineer in the operations and maintenance of water works and
registered with Engineers’ Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania.
2.2 Duties and
Responsibilities
i.
Analyse and follow up of causes for both technical and
commercial water losses and make necessary rectifications which are measurable
and make system improvement to ensure the total amount of water loss does not
exceed an acceptable standard of 20% of total water produced at any time.
ii.
Promptly making maintenance and repair of all pipes
bursts and water leaks as they occur by ensuring that, any reported leak or
pipe burst is attended within 30minutes.
iii.
Ensuring availability of adequate water quantity in the
reservoirs for both emergences and normal supply.
iv.
Making critical analysis and assessment of records/data
of amount of water supplied to each zone through bulk meters versus
corresponding amount of water billed from individual customer water meters in
each zone; establish amount of None Revenue Water - zonal wise and take any
necessary quantified measures/actions to ensure amount of NRW from each zone
does not exceed 20%.
v.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head
of Operations Engineering Section.
3.0 AUTHORITY’S ACCOUNTANT (One post) - Re

3.1 Required Qualifications:
Holder of a Bachelor degree of
Commerce in Accounting or equivalent degree qualifications with minimum of three
(3) years postgraduate accounting experience in a reputable organization. CPA
(T) or equivalent professional qualification i.e. ACCA, ACA, CIMA is a must.
3.2 Summarised Duties and Responsibilities:
i)
Maintain and coordinate the implementation of DUWASA Accounting System to
ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
ii)
Budgetary control and reporting for recurrent and
development/project funds.
iii) Perform monthly analysis and
review of budgets and expenditures for internal revenue, contracts, and grants.
iv) Maintenance
of Fixed Assets Register and review and updating of inventory movements.
v)
Prepare Quarterly and Year end financial reports.
vi) Interact with internal and external
auditors in successful completion of audits.
vii) Perform
any other duties as may be assigned by Finance Manager.

MBEGA (COLOBUS MONKEY).
Mbega ni kima wa
nusufamilia Colobinae
katika familia Cercopithecidae. Wanatokea Afrika na Asia. Spishi nyingi
huishi mitini lakini
spishi nyingine huishi savana zenye miti na hata mijini. Vidole gumba vya spishi za
Afrika vimekuwa vigutu pengine ili kurahisisha kwenda katika miti. Mbega hula majani, maua na matunda, pengine wadudu na wanyama
wadogo.
Bega wanapatikana hata katika safu za milima ya uluguru, lakini wanauwawa sana na wakazi wanaoishi karibu na safu za milima hii.

anayepatikana Milima ya Uluguru pekee Duniani
Ndege huyu ni ndege ajulikanaye kwa jina la kitaalamu kama Malaconotus alius mwenye ukubwa wa sm 22- 24 ambaye
hupatikana katika safu za milima ya Uluguru Tanzania. Mwaka 1999-2000,
sensa ilikadiria kuwepo jumla ya jozi 1,200 sawa na ndege 2,400 (Burgess et
al. 2001); tafiti nyingine za mwaka 2006 and 2007 zote zilionesha kuwa
idadi ya ndege hawa haikubadilika (J. John in litt. 2007).
Jambo la kusikitisha, ndege hawa wanauwawa na wanazidi
kupungua idadi yake kutokana na uchafuzi wa mazingira unaoendelea katika safu
za milima hii ya Uluguru kwa kuchoma moto ovyo.
Wananchi wote wanaoishi karibu na safu hizi za milima ya
Uluguru washirikiane katika kuhifadhi mazingira na kuwalinda hawa ndege adimu
