 Employment Opportunities

The Management of Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) invites qualified Tanzanians to apply for positions for Tutorial Assistants (TA’s) (<35 yrs of age) and Assistant Lecturers (<45 years).

Applicants are advised to note that the minimum GPA of 3.8 or an average of B for unclassified degrees such as that of Veterinary and Medical graduates at undergraduate level applies for TA’s and 3.5 at BSc/BA level or equivalent (i.e. an average of B for Veterinary and Medical graduates) and a good Masters degree is applicable for those with postgraduate qualifications. Only registered Veterinarians will be considered for interviews.

During application the applicant should state the Department, Position and Discipline one is vying for. Applicants are advised to note that salary packages and fringe benefits shall be as per Treasury Registrar’s Salaries Circular No. 3 of 2013.

1.                   Kamati ya Uchaguzi ya Shirikisho la Mpira wa Miguu Tanzania (TFF) inawatangazia wananchi wote kuwa Uchaguzi wa viongozi wa TFF utafanyika tarehe 20/10/2013 jijini Dar es salaam. Wale wote wanaopenda kuwania nafasi za uongozi wa TFF wanataarifiwa  kuwa fomu za maombi ya uongozi wa TFF zitatolewa kuanzia tarehe 16 Agosti 2013 hadi tarehe  20 Agosti 2013 katika Ofisi ya Katibu Mkuu wa TFF (Idara ya  Fedha), kuanzia saa 03:00 asubuhi hadi saa 10:00 Alasiri. Mwisho wa kurudisha Fomu ni saa 10:00 Alasiri tarehe 20 Agosti 2013.

2.                   Nafasi zinazotangazwa kugombewa ni:

(i)                   Rais wa TFF.

(ii)                 Makamu wa Rais wa TFF.

(iii)                Wajumbe wa Kamati ya Utendaji ya TFF, nafasi kumi na tatu (13).

3.                   Mtu yeyote  anayeomba nafasi ya uongozi katika TFF lazima atimize masharti yafuatayo:

(i)                   Awe Raia wa Tanzania.

(ii)                 Awe na kiwango cha elimu kisichopungua Kidato cha Nne na cheti cha kuhitimu Elimu ya Sekondari.

(iii)                Awe na uzoefu wa uendeshaji wa Mpira wa Miguu uliothibitishwa wa angalau miaka mitano (5).

(iv)               Asiwe na hatia yoyote ya kosa la jinai na kuhukumiwa kifungo bila ya uchaguzi wa faini.

(v)                 Awe na umri wa angalau miaka 25.

(vi)               Awe amewahi kuwa ama mchezaji Mpira wa Miguu, Kocha, Mwamuzi au kushiriki katika uendeshaji wa Mpira wa Miguu katika ngazi ya Taifa, Mkoa, Ligi Kuu au Ligi Daraja la Kwanza.

(vii)              Awe mwadilifu, mwaminifu na mwenye uwezo wa kutekeleza majukumu, wajibu na malengo ya TFF kwa weledi.

(viii)            Mtu anayegombea nafasi ya Rais na Makamu wa Rais wa TFF lazima awe na kiwango cha Elimu kisichopungua Shahada ya Chuo Kikuu na awe na uwezo na haiba ya kuwakilisha TFF ndani na nje ya nchi.

4.                   Ada za Fomu za maombi ya uongozi ni hizi zifuatazo:

(i)                   Rais wa TFF; Shillingi Laki Tano (Tshs. 500,000/=).

(ii)                 Makamu wa Rais wa TFF; Shillingi Laki Tatu (Tshs. 300,000/=).

(iii)                Wajumbe wa Kamati ya Utendaji ya TFF; Shillingi Laki Mbili (Tshs. 200,000/=).

5.                   Kwa wale ambao walilipia fomu za kugombea katika mchakato uliofutwa na ambao wanakusudia kugombea nafasi zile zile walizozilipia, hawatalipia tena ada ya fomu husika bali watatakiwa kuambatanisha risiti za malipo wakati wa kurudisha fomu za maombi hayo ili kuthibitisha malipo yao.

CCM YAWASIMAMISHA UONGOZI NA KUWAFUKUZA MADIWANI WAKE WANANE BUKOBA.

Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) kimeamua kuwatolea uvivu kwa kuwavua uanachama na uongozi madiwani wake wanane katika Halmashauri ya Manispaa ya Bukoba mkoani Kagera.

Imeelezwa kwamba hatua hiyo imechukuliwa na Halmashauri Kuu ya CCM mkoa wa Kagera kutokana na kudaiwa kupuuza maelekezo yaliyotolewa na Mwenyekiti wa CCM, Taifa, Rais Jakaya Kikwete.

Taarifa iliyotolewa na  Katibu wa CCM wa mkoa huo Avelin Mushi, imesema kuwa uamuzi huo umekuja kutokana na chama kujali maslahi ya wananchi tofauti ya watu binafsi.

Mushi amewataja madiwani hao nane kuwa  Yusuph Ngaiza (Kata Kashai) ambaye pia ni Mwenyekiti wa CCM wilaya Bukoba, Samwel Ruangisa (Kitendagulo) ambaye ni Meya mstaafu na Mkuu wa mkoa wa mkoa wa kwanza wa mkoa wa Kagera, Murungi Kichwabuta (Viti maalumu) Deusdedith Mutakyawa (Nyanga) Richard Gaspal (Miembeni)Alexander Ngalinda (Buhembe) ambaye pia alikuwa Naibu Meya Dauda Kalumuna (Ijuganyondo) na Robert Katunzi wa kata Hamugembe.

Mushi amesema kuwa  kufukuzwa kwa madiwani hao ni kutokana na mgogoro ulidumu kwa muda mrefu juu ya mbunge na meya ambapo Rais Kikwete akiwa ziarani Kagera alitoa agizo la wanachama hao kutoendelea na mgogoro huo.

Pia, amesema kuwa vikao vya chama vimekuwa vikiendelea kwa kufuata kanuni na taratibu kwa kuwaonya juu ya kuhujumu serikali ya CCM kwa kushirikiana na madiwani kambi ya upinzani kutotekeleza maendeleo ya wananchi lakini wahusika wote wamekuwa wakikahidi maagizo ya kuitwa kwenye vikao.

University of Sydney is offering Sydney Achievers International Scholarships for new international students commencing at the University in 2014. The scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degree level at the University of Sydney. Up to 100 prestigious scholarships will be offered for any undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered at the University of Sydney (subject to the recipient maintaining satisfactory academic progress each year). Victoria Master’s [By Thesis] Scholarships for International Students in New Zealand, 2014.

Victoria University of Wellington is offering Master’s [by thesis] scholarships for international students. Thirty scholarships are offered, consisting of a $15,000 stipend, plus domestic fees. Eligibility:
To encourage research at Masters level at Victoria university. Only those students enrolled solely for a 90 point thesis are eligible to apply. In some cases this will be Part 2 of a two-year Master’s degree and will usually have the course code 591. Students who are enrolled in Master’s degree programmes that have thesis or research components of less than 90 points, or who elect not to enrol for the solely by thesis option, but instead enrol in taught courses, internships, performance, portfolio, practicum, or other programme options, are eligible to apply for the Victoria Graduate Scholarships. Creative Writing candidates are eligible to apply for the Master’s [by thesis] Scholarship.
