Scholarships in UK 2013/2014 .

Nottingham Trent University offers Postgraduate scholarship for Home, EU and International students in UK. Scholarship is provided for full-time Masters studies in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment. This scholarship is not available for students applying to our March Architecture course. The scholarship will cover £1,000 fee reduction. The scheme is open to self-funded students only. Application should be submitted till 26^th July 2013.

Katibu Mkuu Wizara ya Afya na Ustawi wa Jamii,anatangaza kuongeza muda wa kupokea maombi ya kujiunga na kozi mbalimbali zinazotolewa na Wizara ya Afya kwa mwaka wa masomo 2013/2014. Muda umeongezwa kutokana na sababu kubwa mbili:

i.Kubadilika kwa matokeo ya Wahitimu wa Kidato cha Nne

ii.Kuchelewa kwa majibu ya mitihani ya kuhitimu Kidato cha Sita.

Wahitimu wa Kidato cha Nne ambao walituma maombi yao ya kozi hapo awali (hadi tarehe 30/4/2013) na kupokelewa, wanatakiwa kuwasilisha taarifa zao mpya kwenye vituo vile vile wali kowasilisha maombi yao. Taarifa hizo ziainishe vitu vifuatavyo:

i.Jina kamili za muombaji

ii.Namba yake ya mtihani wa kidato cha Nne

iii.Matokeo yake mapya. ni vema kuwasilisha matokeo yaliyoko kwenye mtandao (internet) kwa vile ‘result Slips’ bado hazijatoka

iv.Kozi aliyochaguamara ya kwanza

v.Kozi anayoomba kwa matokeo mapya, kwa kuzingatia sifa zilizoainishwa kwenye tangazo la Wizara

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MASTER'S STUDENTS IN SWEDEN, 2014.

University of Skovde offers Scholarships IPK/UHR for international master’s students liable for tuition fees. The scholarships are tuition fee waivers of SEK 60 000 / year (50% of the tuition fee). The amount of the scholarships will be deducted from the tuition fee when applicants receive the invoice. Students have to be able to finance the rest of the tuition fee themselves and to cover all the living expenses during their stay in Sweden. Prior to applying for a scholarship students first apply for studies at University of Skövde. Applicants must also apply for one of the master’s programmes at the Swedish official online application service University Admissions. The scholarship application deadline for the master’s programmes that start in the spring semester (January 2014) is September 15th, 2013.

RHODES SCHOLARSHIPS AT UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD IN UK, 2014.

Each year, Rhodes scholarships are awarded for pursuing full-time postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford, UK. 83 Rhodes scholars are selected annually from 14 countries or groupings of countries around the world. Each scholarship covers all University and College fees, a personal stipend and one economy class airfare to Oxford at the start of the scholarship, as well as an economy flight back to the student’s home country at the conclusion of the scholarship. Applications are open for 2014 round with different deadlines for each country.

Study Subject(s): These scholarships are awarded to study any course offered by the University of Oxford at postgraduate level.
 
Course Level: Rhodes Scholars may read for any full-time postgraduate degree (including the BA with senior status over two years) at the University of Oxford.

MASTERS SCHOLARSHIPS AT CARDIFF UNIVERSITY IN UK, 2013/14 .

The School of History, Archaeology and Religion, Cardiff  University offers masters studentships in the field of archaeology, ancient history, conservation, history, religious studies and theology. Minimum of 2:1 or equivalent for overseas applicants) in a BA Degree in a relevant subject. The masters studentships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. Awards are open to students of any nationality. International students will be offered an award equivalent to the value of the UK/EU course fees and will be required to cover the remaining international fees themselves. The application deadline is 1st July 2013.

Study Subject(s): Studentships are provided in the field of archaeology, ancient history, conservation, history, religious studies and theology.
 

TAARIFA KWA UMMA JUU YA MAOMBI YA MIKOPO 2013/2014 KWA BODI YA MIKOPO ELIMU YA JUU.

  1.0            UTANGULIZI

Bodi ya Mikopo ya Wanafunzi wa Elimu ya Juu inawafahamisha waombaji wa mikopo kwa mara ya kwanza, Wanafunzi wanaondelea na masomo na Umma kwa ujumla kwamba mchakato wa maombi mikopo kwa mwaka wa masomo 2013/2014 ulizinduliwa rasmi tarehe 1 Mei, 2013.  Mchakato huo unaendelea vizuri na kwamba wanafunzi wengi wameweza kujaza fomu za maombi ya mikopo kwa njia ya mtandao (OLAS).

2.0   WAOMBAJI WA MIKOPO WA MARA YA KWANZA

Utaratibu wa kujaza fomu za maombi kwa waombaji wa mara ya kwanza, unawaelekeza waombaji hao kutoa taarifa zao za kihistoria kama vile shule za sekondari walizosoma (Kidato cha IV na Kidato cha VI), hali ya mwombaji au wazazi wake kiafya na pia taarifa za mdhamini wa mwombaji mkopo. Taarifa hizo zinaiwezesha Bodi kuchambua na kujua iwapo mwombaji husika ana sifa ya kukopesheka au la. Ikumbukwe kwamba lengo la utoaji wa mikopo ya wanafunzi wa elimu ya juu ni kuwawezesha wanafunzi wasio na uwezo wa kulipia gharama za elimu ya juu kusaidiwa kufikia malengo yao. Kwa njia ya uchambuzi huo Bodi inaweza kubaini kiasi cha mkopo unaohitajika au kiasi ambacho mwanafunzi anapaswa kuchangia katika gharama zake za elimu ya juu.

Kwa vile taarifa za ufaulu katika mitihani ya kidato cha sita hazihitajiki katika hatua hii ya Mwanzo, mwombaji wa mkopo haulizwi mahali popote katika fomu yake ya maombi kuhusu kiwango cha ufaulu. Hapo baadaye Bodi itakapohitaji kuthibitisha kiwango cha ufaulu wa mwombaji itapata taarifa hizo za ufaulu moja kwa moja kutoka Baraza la Mitihani la Taifa (NECTA).  Kutokana na utaratibu huu, mwanafunzi aliyehitimu kidato cha sita mwaka 2013 anaweza kuomba mkopo hata kabla ya matokeo ya Kidato cha Sita kitaifa kutolewa.  Hii ni muhimu ili kuipa Bodi muda wa kutosha kupokea maombi ya mikopo, kuchambua na kisha kupanga mikopo kwa wanafunzi stahiki watakaokuwa wamedahiliwa kwa mwaka mpya wa masomo 2013/2014.

3.0       IDADI YA WANAFUNZI WALIOKWISHAOMBA MIKOPO KUFIKIA MEI 30, 2013

Hadi kufikia tarehe 30 Mei, 2013, waombaji mikopo wa mara ya kwanza waliokwishakamilisha maombi yao ni   424, Waombaji wa mara ya kwanza ambao wako kwenye hatua mbalimbali za ukamilishaji ni 5,320 na wanafunzi wanaoedelea na masomo waliokwishathibitisha kuendelea kupatiwa mikopo kwa mwaka ujao wa masomo ni 60,367, kama inavyoonekana kwenye jedwali hapa chini.

4.0            HITIMISHO

Bodi inatoa msisitizo kwa waombaji wa mikopo kama ifuatavyo:

(i)                Kuzingatia taratibu zote muhimu zilizowekwa kwa ajili ya maombi ya mikopo.

(ii)              Kutumia huduma ya msaada kwa wateja (Help Desk) kikamilifu kila wanapopata tatizo lolote katika mchakato wa ujazaji wa fomu za maombi.  Huduma hiyo inapatika kwa kupiga namba 022 550 7910; kuanzia saa 2 asubuhi hadi saa 2 usiku siku za jumatatu hadi ijumaa na kuanzia saa 2 asubuhi hadi saa 10 alasiri siku ya jumamosi.

(iii)            Kuzingatia muda uliopangwa wa maombi ya mikopo ambapo siku ya mwisho ni tarehe 30 Juni, 2013.

Chuo cha Mtakatifu Agustino Tanzania kinawatangazia nafasi za kujiunga na Remedial Programme kwa mwaka wa masomo 2013/2014.Kozi hii ni kwaajili ya wale wote ambao alama zao hazifiki kiwango cha 4.5 katika kidato cha sita, ili kuwawezesha kupata elimu ya ziada iwasaidie kuendana na wanafunzi wenzao walio pata alama za 4.5 katika kidato cha sita.

Sifa za Muombaji:
1. Awe amemaliza kidato cha sita.

2. Awe na Principal Points kuanzia 2.5 hadi 4 kwenye masomo mawili ya kidato cha sita (mfano: EE, DE, CE, DD, EEE na masomo mengine kuwa na S).

3. Gharama ni Tshs. 390,000/= (Tuition Fee) kwa miezi 3, malazi (accommodation) ni Tshs. 70,000/=, chakula ni kujitegemea.

4. Wale wote wenye sifa hizo watakao chaguliwa na TCU kuja SAUT watatakiwa kufika chuoni miezi mitatu kabla ya tarehe ya kujiunga chuoni kwaajili ya kuanza masomo ya remedial.

5. Kozi hii itaanza tarehe 3/7/2013.

Bond University offers international scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Australia. Applicants must currently be or have previously been in the top 5% of their high school or university class. These scholarships are available to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability. International scholarships will cover 25% to 50% of tuition fees of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree (excluding Bond University’s Medical Program, Master’s of Psychology, Doctor of Physiotherapy).

SCHOLARSHIP AT UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS LONDON IN UK, 2013/14 .

Central Saint Martin’s College of Arts and Design of University of the Arts London is offering six MRes Art International Bursaries in UK. The bursaries cover tuition fees for first year students only. Home/ EU and International students are eligible for MRes funding. Students must be undergraduate and be accepted at the full-time MRes courses at the College for September 2013 academic year. Selection criteria for bursaries are financial need and academic merit.
