BRAZIL SCHOLARSHIP FOR 2015-2016 ACADEMIC YEAR.

The Government Republic of Brazil is offering scholarships for qualified Tanzanians under the programme Brazilian Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC – G) for academic year 2015/2016

1.0 Financial Conditional of Scholarships

The Scholarship will Cover:-

1. Tuition fee;
2. Purchase of air tickets;
3. Allowance money should be catered for solely by the students themselves.

2.0  PEC – G Conditions for Application

(i) Be a Citizen and resident of Tanzania

(ii) Age between 18 to 23 years old by December 31, 2015.

(iii) Have completed high school at the average of equal or above 60% (grade C).

(iv) Have obtained the certificate of proficiency in Portuguese.

(v) Applicants who have not concluded high School on the date of Application may present their certificate of conclusion in the moment of enrollment in the assigned Brazilian Higher Education Institution (Result slip).

(vi) Have obtained the certificate of proficiency in Portuguese as a Foreign Language Celpe – Bras exam.

(vii) Applicants from Countries where there is no  Celpe -  Bras exam must take the exam in Brazil in sole opportunity, upon the conclusion of the Portuguese as a Foreign Language preparatory course to the Celpe – Bras exam, in an accredited Higher Education Institution .

(viii) Applicants who fail the Celpe – Bras exam taken if Brazil will not be able to participate in PEC – G.  Their registration will be considered invalid and their staying in Brazil will be  terminated.

3.0  Who cannot apply to PEC – G

Ofisi ya Rais, Tume ya Mipango kwa kushirikiana na Shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa la Idadi ya Watu (UNFPA) Tanzania, wameandaa warsha ya kuhamasisha na kujenga uwezo kwa watumishi wa Mkoa na Mamlaka za Serikali za Mitaa kuhusu kujumuisha masuala ya vijana katika mipango ya Mkoa na wilaya.

Warsha hiyo inafanyika katika vituo vya Mwanza na Musoma. Katika kituo cha Mwanza warsha inafanyika tarehe 8 na 9 Juni 2015, kituo ambacho kinajumuisha Sekretarieti ya Mkoa na Halmashauri za mikoa ya Mwanza, Shinyanga na Geita.

Washiriki wa warsha hii ni Makatibu Tawala Wasaidizi (Mipango na Uratibu), Maafisa Watakwimu (RS), Maafisa Mipango wa Wilaya, Maafisa Elimu ya Msingi wa Wilaya na Maafisa Maendeleo ya Jamii wa Wilaya.

MAURITIUS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TANZANIANS 2015.

The Government of Mauritius is offering scholarships for undergraduate studies in Public Tertiary Education Institutions in Mauritius deservingTanzanian students in 2015.

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS

1. Financial Conditions of the Scholarship 

1.1 The Scholarship will cover:

 (i) A monthly living allowance,

 (ii) Tuition fees, and

(iii) Student airfare (economy class) by the most economical route to and from Mauritius at the start and the end of the studies. 

1.2 The duration of the scholarship will be for a maximum of four (4) years depending on the course. 

2. Eligibility

2.1 Be resident citizens of Tanzania

2.2 Scholarships shall not be awarded for:

 (i) Top-up degree programmes;

 (ii) Foundation programmes; and

 (iii) Mixed modes (distance and on-campus learning) 

2.3Age Limit:

 Candidates should not be below 18 years and not more than 25 years of age at the date of application. 

3.0. Procedure for submitting applications

 3.1 The Procedure for submitting applications is as detailed below: 

3.2 ALL candidates must submit the fully completed application forms and certified copies of the following documents as part of their application by 10th June 2015: 

(i) Birth certificate 

(ii) O-Level and A-Level Secondary Education Certificates or Equivalent Diploma Certificate with B+ grade , (iii)transcripts of secondary school results/Diploma,

 (iv) Mark sheets relating to the qualifications, 

(v) Medical certificate mentioning that applicant is free from any contagious disease eg.HIV/AIDS

(vi) Letter of conditional offer by a public tertiary education institution in Mauritius (if available at time of submission).
