ITOCA
(Information Training & Outreach Centre for Africa) www.itoca.org
is a capacity building organization aimed at enhancing information and
communications technology (ICT) skills for African professionals and
students in the Sub-Saharan Africa region. ITOCA (formerly, TEEAL Africa
office) is an International NGO registered in South Africa. It was
established in 1999 as a marketing and support office for Albert R. Mann
Library TEEAL program. Now, ITOCA spearheads several ICT for
development programs including the TEEAL and Research4Life programmes.
The organization is looking for self-motivated and energetic
information/ICT professionals based in the six listed countries. The
candidates should have excellent research, training, facilitation and
presentation skills. They should be friendly, responsible and are able
to regularly travel nationally and with the regions for project
assignments.

amemtumia salamu za rambirambi Rais Jacob Zuma wa Afrika ya Kusini na
kupitia kwake kwa mkewe Bi Graca Machel, wanafamilia wote na wananchi
wote wa Afrika ya Kusini kufuatia kifo cha Mzee Nelson Mandela
kilichotokea tarehe 5 Desemba, 2013 baada ya kuugua kwa muda mrefu.Rais ameuelezea msiba huu kuwa ni msiba mkubwa kwetu sote.
"Afrika ya Kusini, Afrika na dunia kwa ujumla imepoteza mtu mashuhuri na shujaa mkubwa wa Karne ya 20 na 21.Tunaelewa machungu waliyonayo wananchi wa Afrika ya Kusini kwa kupoteza kiongozi shupavu, jasiri, mwana mapinduzi , mvumilivu na mstahimilivu". Ameongeza Rais Kikwete.

Online Course Grant for Library Professionals from Developing Countries
Purpose
The goal of this program is helping library professionals from developing countries stay current with the latest trends and developments in technical services areas and enhance their professional knowledge and skills in librarianship and information science.One free seat per ALCTS online continuing educational course session is available to librarians and information professionals from developing countries.
Criteria
Applicants must:- Have a degree in library or information science (e.g. a 4-year undergraduate degree or a master’s) or,
- be enrolled in a library or information science program in a developing country or,
- be working as a librarian or information professional in a developing country

IRO Doctoral Scholarship Programme for Developing Countries in Belgium, 2014.
Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) annually offers IRO Doctoral Scholarship for students from Developing Countries in Belgium. The IRO Doctoral Scholarships are only granted for doctoral programmes for a maximum period of 48 months and
eventually for one pre-doctoral year as preparation period for the
doctoral programme. Applicants may choose a research topic proposed by
one of the KU Leuven Doctoral Schools: Humanities and Social Sciences
Science, Engineering and Technology Biomedical Sciences or applicants
may propose their own research topic. The application deadline is 15
January 2014.
Study Subject(s): Applicants for the IRO Doctoral Scholarship Programme may choose a research topic proposed by one of the KU Leuven Doctoral Schools: Humanities and Social Sciences Science, Engineering and Technology Biomedical Sciences or applicants may propose their own research topic.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD degree at KU Leuven.
Scholarship Provider: Catholic University of Leuven
Scholarship can be taken at: Belgium
Eligibility:
1.The applicant must be a citizen of one of the countries on the OECD DAC table that are listed under the following categories: Least Developed Countries, Low Income Countries or Low Middle Income Countries.
2. The time period between the date of completion of your MA degree and the date of submission of your scholarship application can be no more than ten years.
3. Excellent academic results
4.Excellent research project
5.Proof of embedness in the South and motivation in the framework of development cooperation
6.Excellent recommendations
