(IN COLLABORATION WITH 12 AFRICAN UNIVERSITIES)
ANNOUNCES
The launch of a collaborative Master of Research and Public Policy (MRPP) degree programme to be offered by twelve African universities under the auspices of the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR), starting from 2014/2015 Academic Year.
The Programme is designed to produce
- High caliber researchers for universities, think tanks, government and civil society organizations;
- Competent public policy analysts for government, research institutions and civil society organizations. Graduates will form a unique cadre of professionals able to work in a wide variety of settings, including but not limited to government institutions, regional and international organizations and media.
This will be the first such programme to be offered in Sub-Saharan African universities.
PROGRAMME DURATION
The programme will be run over two calendar years (four semesters) with two semesters devoted to classroom, professional development and field experiential learning, and the third and fourth dedicated mainly to preparation of research paper.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Admission into MRPP programme will require the applicant to have a minimum of a Bachelors degree (or its equivalent) in any discipline at lower second class level, from a recognized university. Candidates with the above qualifications and working experience in research and public policy related fields will be given preference.
