The Government Republic of Brazil is offering scholarships for qualified Tanzanians under the programme Brazilian Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students (PEC – G) for academic year 2015/2016
1.0 Financial Conditional of Scholarships
The Scholarship will Cover:-
- Tuition fee;
- Purchase of air tickets;
- Allowance money should be catered for solely by the students themselves.
2.0 PEC – G Conditions for Application
(i) Be a Citizen and resident of Tanzania
(ii) Age between 18 to 23 years old by December 31, 2015.
(iii) Have completed high school at the average of equal or above 60% (grade C).
(iv) Have obtained the certificate of proficiency in Portuguese.
(v) Applicants who have not concluded high School on the date of Application may present their certificate of conclusion in the moment of enrollment in the assigned Brazilian Higher Education Institution (Result slip).
(vi) Have obtained the certificate of proficiency in Portuguese as a Foreign Language Celpe – Bras exam.
(vii) Applicants from Countries where there is no Celpe - Bras exam must take the exam in Brazil in sole opportunity, upon the conclusion of the Portuguese as a Foreign Language preparatory course to the Celpe – Bras exam, in an accredited Higher Education Institution .
(viii) Applicants who fail the Celpe – Bras exam taken if Brazil will not be able to participate in PEC – G. Their registration will be considered invalid and their staying in Brazil will be terminated.
3.0 Who cannot apply to PEC – G
- Brazilian Citizens, even those holding Dual Nationality;
- Holders of any temporary or permanent Visa to Brazil;
- Those who have completed high school in Brazil,
- Those who have been selected in previous – editions of PEC – G and who, having not presented at the Brazilian IES at the time of enrolment, fail to provide a justification until the deadline for enrolment.
- Those with a high school final overall average and official language average inferior 6o%.
- Applicants from Countries where the Celpe-Bras exam can be taken who do not hold the Celpe bras Certificate.
4.0 Requirement documents
(i)Completed application form with endorsement from the Ministry of Education and Vocational training;
(ii) Certified copy of birth certificate
(iii) Photocopy of biodata page of passport
(iv) Certified copies of O-Level and A-level Secondary educational certificates or Diploma Certificate with B+ Grade,
(v) Transcripts of secondary school results/Diploma, and
(vi) Medical certificate mentioning that student is free of contagious diseases.
(vii) Original and copies of the candidates and both parents Birth certificates
(viii)Original of certificates of physical and mental health issued within the last three months before application.
(ix)Original of statement of financial responsibility (TRF) in Portuguese accompanied by proof of the signatory income attesting the capacity to fulfil the commitment made. Or application
(x). Original of statement of commitment for application (TCL) it is mandatory to fill in the Portuguese version
Note
- Applicants from countries where there is no celpe- Bras-exam must take the exam in Brazil in a sole opportunity, upon the conclusion of the Portuguese as a foreign language preparatory course to the celpe-Bras-exam, in an accredited Higher Education Institution (HEI)
- The statement of financial responsibility (TRF) declares that the applicant counts with at least one source of income able to funds his /her trip to Brazil and his return to their home country, as well as installation and maintenance in Brazil throughout the duration of the course.
