Project Description:

The goal of the program (target module) is: The conditions for the sustainable use of Renewable Energy (RE) are improved in Tanzania. The program supports the expansion of grid-connected renewable energies through advisory on the general framework and capacity building. The procedures for approval of small RE systems (10 MW), which are supported through the Rural Energy Agency REA, should be organized more efficiently. In addition, strategies and support measures for Energy Efficiency are supported. Political support is the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM).

Wigh Fellowships for International Scholars at Harvard University in USA, 2014

Weatherhead Center for International Affairs through the Weatherhead Initiative on Global History (WIGH) offers fellowships for international scholars in the USA. The fellowships are available to support outstanding scholars whose work respond to the growing interest in the encompassing study of global history. Applications are welcomed from qualified persons without regard to nationality, gender, or race. Fellows will receive an annual stipend of up to $50,000, according to fellows’ needs. WIGH Fellows are appointed for one year and are provided time, guidance, office space, and access to Harvard University facilities. Applications should be submitted till January 10, 2014.

Maafisa wakuu wa ujasusi wametakiwa kufika mbele ya kamati ya ulinzi ya bunge ili kuhojiwa kuhusu mashambulizi ya kigaidi dhidi ya jumba la Westgate mjini Nairobi.

Taarifa kwenye vyombo vya habari nchini humo zinaonyesha kuwa hali ya kulaumiana imeanza kuibuka huku mashirika ya usalama yakinyosheana kidole.

Watu 67 waliuawa kwenye shambulizi hilo huku zaidi ya miamoja sabini na tano wakipata majeraha mabaya. Shirika la Red Cross nalo linasema kuwa watu 61 wangali hawajulikani waliko.
Wataalamu wa uchunguzi wa mauaji wangali wanafanya uchunguzi wao wakitafuta miili na dalili za kilichosababisha shambulizi hilo.
Kamati ya bunge inataka maafisa wanaohusika na maswala ya usalama waweze kuwajibishwa.
Kundi la kigaidi la nchini Somalia, al-Shabab limedai kufanya mashambulizi hayo yaliyodumu siku nne kama hatua ya kulipiza kisasi kwa Kenya kujihusisha nchini Somalia kijeshi.
Hii leo ni siku ya tatu ya maombolezi kwa wathiriwa wa shambulizi hilo wakiwemo raia na wanajeshi.
Rais Uhuru Kenyatta amehudhuria mazishi ya mpwa wake na mchumba wake mjini Nairobi ambapo aliwahutubia waumini.

Hatua ya kuwataka maafisa hao wa usalama kufika mbele ya tume ya bunge siku ya Jumatatu, inakuja kutokana na wasiwasi miongoni mwa wakenya kuhusu kiwango cha maafisa hao kujiandaa kwa tukio lolote la kigaidi sawa na lililotokea Westgate.
Kwa mujibu wa vyombo vya habari mmoja wa maafisa waliotakiwa kufika mbele ya kamati hiyo ni mkuu wa shirika la ujasusi Michael Gichangi, anayesema alitoa taarifa za ujasusi kuhusu shambulizi hilo kwa polisi.
Lakini, afisaa mmoja mkuu katika idara ya polisi alikana kuwa taarifa hiyo ilitolewa kwa polisi.

Mwandishi wa habari wa Mwananchi Communication Limited Venance George, jana alipoteza maisha akiwa katika Hospitali ya Rufaa ya Mkoa wa Morogoro alipokuwa amelazwa.
Marehemu alikuwa akisumbuliwa na vidonda vya tumbo kwa muda mrefu na kifua hali iliyopelekea kwenda kulazwa katika hospitali ya Aga Khan iliyopo jijini Dar es salaam na kupata nafuu, Baada ya kurudi nyumbani hali ilbadilika tena na kupelekea kwenda kulazwa katika hospitali ya Holly Cross Mission iliyopo mkoani Morogoro na baadaye kuhamishiwa katika hospitali kuu ya mkoa wa Morogoro.

Marehemu alipata nafuu na kuruhusiwa kurudi nyumbani , baada ya siku kadhaa hali ilibadilika tena na kupelekea kwenda kulazwa hospitali ya mkoa wa Morogoro hadi umauti ulipomkuta mnamo tarehe 26/09/2013 saa 9:15.

-Marehemu ameacha mjane na watoto wawili wa kike na wa kiume.

 

HISTORIA FUPI YA MAREHEMU VENANCE GEORGE.

Marehemu Venance George Mhangilwa alizaliwa mnamo 8/12/1973 Bukoti wilaya ya Geita.

ELIMU:

-Marehemu alisoma katika shule ya msingi Bugogo kuanzia mwaka 1981 mpaka mwaka 1987 alipohitimu elimu yake ya msingi.

-Mnamo mwaka 1988 alianza kidato cha kwanza katika shule ya sekondari Forest Hill iliyopo Morogoro na kuhitimu kidato cha sita mnamo mwaka 1994.

-Mwaka 1995 alijiunga katika chuo cha uandishi wa habari na kuhitimu mwaka 1996.
